Bread :: a photo diary

Hey, guys! So last week, I shared my 10 things to do this fall list. I am so excited to tell you that this weekend, I completed TWO of those things! Yay! I’ll be sharing the second one tomorrow. 🙂

On Saturday, (or Sunday… I can’t remember!) my mom and I made BREAD! It was my first time making bread with yeast. I think it turned out really well, and it was way easier than I expected. We just used the King Arthur flour recipe for white bread. 🙂

Here are some photos:

10 things to do this fall!

things to do this fall.jpg

Hello and happy Monday guys! (Don’t worry – I’m not up this early! I had this blog post scheduled to come up now so… hi!) I’ve done a few bucket lists in the past, but this one I am going to try SO hard to complete before winter. It should be pretty easy, as the first day of winter is in December. Here is the list!

1. Go apple picking! I love apple picking and I am super excited to go this year and make yummy recipes!

2. Knit 4 scarves or hats! Or learn to knit, if you don’t know how to!

3. Make some SOUP! I have my eye a coupl tasty-looking recipes with super delicious fall flavors!

4. Bake some BREAD! Believe it or not, I have never made bread with yeast… only quick bread! I am pumped to try something new!

5. Decorate! I looooooove decorating for fall with pumpkins, mums, and everything in between!

6. Go to a corn maze! I don’t think I went to one last year, but I LOVE corn mazes!

7. Take fall photos! Another one of my favorite things. I’m always looking for inspiration on Pinterest.

8. Watch a scary or halloween themed movie with friends! Let’s be honest, Monsters Inc. is the scariest it gets! Haha! But for real, some of my favorites are Edward Scissorhands, It’s The Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown, E.T., Hocus Pocus, and Beetlejuice.

9. Read 5 books! I have got a ton of new books I can’t wait to start! I’ll do reviews on them once I finish.

10. Wear cozy clothes every day! I haven’t done any fashion on my blog, so hopefully I can document some of my outfits!

I’m gonna take pictures every time I do one of these things and show you guys! I’m super excited! And, of course, I will still post photos if one of these 10 things does not work out, because who doesn’t love a good epic fail?!

Which one of these are you going to try?!

Happy Monday!

This month I’m gonna work on a ton of fun fall posts so if you guys wanna see anything in particular… let me know!

I hope you enjoy! What are your favorite songs for fall?

High School, So Far…

Hey, guys! It’s been a couple seconds since I last wrote. I’ve been in school for a couple weeks now and I thought I would share some things I like and don’t like about it. Also, my town had its annual fair a couple weeks ago and I totally forgot that I haven’t done a post on it yet! But, one will be coming soon.

This semester, I am taking Algebra, History, Spanish, and Wellness. (Gym/Health.)

Things I Don’t Like About High School:

1. The loooooooong classes!!! At my school, we have four classes each day. They are 90 minutes each and it is SUCH a change from the middle school 45 minute classes. If I were to go back to middle school, they would probably seem short! If it’s a class I enjoy, then I don’t mind.

(OK, so I guess I didn’t really plan this post out very well because I can’t think of anything else I don’t like! But I guess that’s not a super bad thing, right!?)

Things I Like About High School:

1. The FREEDOM!!! Oh my gosh. On the second or third day of school I was in class and my teacher had given us an assignment to work on and he said that we could listen to music if we wanted to……… WHAT?!?! I had never heard a teacher say that. EVER. In middle school, you weren’t even allowed to carry around your phone! Also, we can chew gum which is awesome. The teachers trust you so much more!

2. Meeting new people!!! I have meet so many awesome people from other towns. On the first day, we were all pretty scared if we didn’t have any familiar faces in a class or at lunch. Sure, I still hang out with my original friends, but I think it’s a lot of fun to meet new people… especially since I have been with the same group of people for years!

3. iPADs!!! Our school gives everyone an iPad for the four years. I really love it because most of your homework is on it, so you won’t forget it. Plus, it’s really easy to use. There are totally cons to using it, though. One being if you forgot to charge it, or… *gasp* if you FORGOT IT AT HOME. That is my worst nightmare because EVERYTHING is on it!!

I plan on doing more of these all throughout the year, so this is all for today. Hope you guys enjoyed!

Happy Saturday!!
